ANDREW BARTON

Andrew Barton

Though he is originally from Idaho, Drew has spent his entire legal career in Las Vegas. He attended BYU-Idaho in his hometown of Rexburg, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English. Thereafter, he moved to Moscow, Idaho where he attended the University of Idaho School of Law, and received his J.D. During his time in law school, Drew was appointed as Lead Technical Editor of the Idaho Law Review, where he edited a number of articles submitted by law students, professors, and other academics. This experience was valuable for Drew as he developed his own writing skills, which he continues to use today in practice. While a law student, Drew was also the winner of the 2010 McNichols Moot Court oral argument competition. The competition consisted of multiple rounds of oral argument before judges and lawyers, with the final argument taking place before two 9th Circuit Court judges, a Washington Federal District Court judge, an Idaho Supreme Court Justice, and other practitioners.

After graduating, Drew moved to Las Vegas where he was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2012. He began working as an insurance defense attorney, primarily in the construction defect area. While he appreciated his time doing that work, he knew he wanted to help people rather than insurance companies. So, after two years of insurance defense work, he transitioned into working for injury victims, and has continued that work ever since. His prior work for insurance companies gave him valuable insight into insurance strategies, which he now uses to help his clients get fair results when they are hurt due to someone else’s negligence. Drew has been able to successfully argue numerous issues with insurance adjusters, and in court, to obtain the best possible outcome for his clients. He enjoys each opportunity that comes for him to be the voice of someone who needs help.

When he is away from the office, Drew enjoys being with his wife and three sons where they spend much of their time playing sports, hiking, watching movies, and traveling.
